This is Violet's final costume and make-up. We decided on a long black skirt coupled with a long black sleeved black top. They both cover all of Violet's skin and only leave her hands and face to be seen. She is wearing a tribal bangle that could have some indication to what kind of background she has and is a piece of statement jewellery. Her fingers are covered in 4 rings. One ring is a fish that seems to wrap around her finger and another is a scary looking crow that is eating its catch, a lonely worm. On the other hand she has a doubled fingered cross ring that she wears upside down to indicate she is a devil worshipper although this is not obvious. On her thumb she wears a plain silver ring that doesn't indicate anything so it is just there purely for decoration. Around her neck she wears two necklaces that she refuses to take off. One is a pentangle and looks slightly like a choker and the other is a cross that has a deep red stone in it- almost the colour of blood. Both of these symbols are scary and are related with the unnatural/deadly things in life and that's why we chose Violet to wear them. She is also wearing silver cross earrings. Her hair is worn down and scruffy and is slightly brought forward so her face is not very visible. Her eyes are heavily made up and she has a large amount of eye-liner on that looks dark and nasty. Her lips have been painted with a dark purple lipstick. These pictures show Violet covered in blood and bruises as this is how the audience first see her. She has bruises on her knuckles and on her lower jaw and these could indicate she has been hit and has been hitting something/someone herself. Her eye is also bruised heavily and this can be seen in the image. Her face is splattered with blood and she has a bloody ear and eyebrow. We didn't want to over-do the blood so she looked crazy but just enough to know that something has been going on.
This is Charlotte's final look. We decided that she should be wearing a blazer because it is smart and as she has good grades at college it seems that this was an item of clothing was crucial for her character. As a blazer is a smart piece of clothing her outfit needed to be also casual so coloured jeans and a white flowered vest makes her look smart and pretty. Her long hair is scraped back into a simple ponytail to show how practical she is. Glasses are stereotyped as making someone look and seem smarter so wearing these make her seem the 'brains' of the group. She is wearing a light lipstick/gloss that makes her look slightly seductive. She is wearing no jewellery because she is smart enough to know that, because they're going camping in the woods, that she could loose it and if it is valuable then it would be pointless taking it.
Amy's final look was very easy to decide on purely because she is the most simple character. Her hair is down as slightly wavy because that's her favourite hairstyle. Its easy to do and that is why she likes it. She is wearing nearly no make-up. Just a slick of mascara and a slight brush of mascara just so she doesn't look too plain. The shirt she is wearing is a orange/yellow colour and it is long sleeved. This is coupled with a leather jacket although a leather jacket isn't something she would usually wear. It was a present from her mum, who doesn't have a clue of the thing's she likes to wear. She's wearing a pair of plain old jeans because she knows that she might be getting muddy. On her feet she is wearing plain black trainers/pumps to match her black leather jacket. In the film she is wearing a think blue coloured scarf to keep warm.
Lucas is obviously the only male so his outfit doesn't need to differentiate from any of the characters. He is wearing a plain denim shirt that has small white polka dots on that aren't very visible but they are there. He is also wearing dark red skinny jeans and black trainers. His outfit is plain as he does try to fit in and this shirt is considered 'fashionable' so that is the main reason why he is wearing it. His hair is just brushed out so his curls look wavy.
